My wish, to all of the members and associate members, is to have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It is the time of the year to reflect and think about how fortunate we are to have food to eat, warm beds to sleep in, a shelter over our heads, and the love we have for our family. I hope as well the love we have for our sisters and brothers in Christ. This is also the time to share what we are blessed to have and help the unfortunate. I know this is a difficult time for all, but we will always have plenty if we share what little bit we do have.
I am so proud to call myself a teacher assistant and I hope the other teacher assistants can say the same. I have always loved children and this is a way I can work with them, see their eyes light up when they finally get the answer, and see the improvement in their little lives from the beginning of the year to the end.

Just think, we couldn't do this without the members we have in the only organization that truly serves us. But the members we have are not enough for the legislatures to hear us loud and clear. WE ARE HEARD IN NUMBERS! I believe without our members, our lobbyist, and our legislative chair, that we may not have a job.

The best Christmas present I could get this year is for all teacher assistants to join our wonderful organization and let the heavens ring.
