District 5 Updates

Hello to everyone in District 5. I hope 2010 is off to a great start for all!

Due to a conflict in scheduling, we have moved the district meeting. The meeting will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Thomasville Public Library in Davidson County. The library is located at 14 Randolph Street. The meeting will begin at 11:30 am, so please make plans to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

Just a reminder don't forget to register for conference beginning February 2, 2010. As you know District 5 is in charge of bag stuffing. Thank you to those District 5 members that have already volunteered to help with this task, but I still need volunteers. Ladies you do a terrific job getting those bags stuffed in a short amount of time. As someone said a few years ago, "You Rock!"

You can also get the scholarship application on line on the Scholarship page: http://ncteacherassistants.org/content/node/9.  All applications for scholarships must be received by Beverly Harrison no later than Feb. 12, 2010.  

Our district's conference basket is "Hawaii 5-O" I would like for you to ask all your teacher assistants if they would donate $5.00 to put in for our basket, then you send me all the donations by Feb. 25, 2010 at Pilot School.  We want our basket to ride the top waves this year, thank you for your support in this matter.

The money from the tickets for the basket goes to our scholarship fund.
